Photographers featured in 25 Under 25: Up-and-Coming American Photographers, Volume 2, will exhibit 25 photographs, including a wide range of approaches to photography: straight photography; documentary essays; highly personal and expressionistic stories; staged, spontaneous, or experimental images; and surreal tableaux at Tisch School of the Arts Gulf + Western Gallery at 721 Broadway. The show will open on May 29 and be on view through June 28.

These photographs are exhibited in conjunction with the publication 25 Under 25: Up-and-Coming American Photographers, Volume 2, a CDS book published by powerHouse Books and the Center for Documentary Studies, to showcase the winners of third 25 Under 25 competition selected by renowned photographer Sylvia Plachy that explore the theme "transitions": what it means to be in-between, in flux, at odds, in a new state of beingU+2014personally, locally, nationally, or internationally. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5 pm Saturdays. The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free. Photo identification is required for access to the building.
