Khayal Darpan (A Mirror of Imagination) (2007, 100 min.) is a feature-length film exploring the development of classical music in Pakistan post-1947. Featuring many famous Khayal singers, the film is a unique exploration by an Indian filmmaker on how classical music was re-interpreted in Pakistan to suit its Islamic national identity.
