The Intersection of Design, Fashion, Science, and Technology

The interplay of electronic textiles and wearable technology, wearables for short, and fashion, design and science is a highly promising and topical subject. This seminar will look at the theory involved and an explanation of the role technology plays in a fabric or article of clothing.

Sabine Seymour is an innovator and trend spotter who is focused on next generation U+2018wearablesU+2018 and the intersection between aesthetics and function. She is the CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Moondial, which develops fashionable wearables and consults on fashionable technology to companies worldwide. She is a faculty member at Parsons The New School For Design in New York and the University of Arts and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria. Sabine curates, exhibits and lectures internationally and has been published worldwide.
