We believe that our curriculum and the dedication of our instructors are big reasons for Tisch's success, but we acknowledge there is more to an education than professional training. Greenwich Village, one of New York City's most celebrated neighborhoods and a historic center for literary and artistic culture, gives our students the advantage of seeing and experiencing firsthand what universities in other parts of the country can only read about. It is impossible to study in the Village and in New York City as a whole without being influenced by the many diverse and experimental happenings, from free outdoor theatre to jazz clubs to music festivals.
Greenwich Village is more than a location, more than an integral part of each student's college experience - it is, to put it simply, an important part of each student's development as an artist.
