NYU maintains an extensive health and wellness system to keep you healthy and respond to your medical and counseling needs. At the Student Health Center, you have the ability to take care of everyday medical needs or handle emergency issues.  You can also receive free and confidential counseling at our Counseling & Wellness Services or get emergency counseling 24/7 on our Wellness Exchange Hotline by calling (212) 443-9999.  

THE STUDENT HEALTH CENTER

The NYU Student Health Center, located at 726 Broadway, offers primary health care as well as many specialties, including women's health, allergy, immunology and travel medicine, optometry, radiology, physical and occupational therapy, urgent care, sports medicine and many others.  

COUNSELING AND WELLNESS SERVICES

Counseling and Wellness Services, located at 726 Broadway, has a large and dedicated staff of professionals available to meet with students for individual counseling, group counseling, walk-in hours, referrals, workshops and emergency services. Tisch also has two counselors who work specifically with our students. Counseling is free and confidential. THE WELLNESS EXCHANGE

Students can get emergency counseling 24/7 on our Wellness Exchange Hotline by calling (212) 443-9999.  When you call you will speak with a professional who will talk you through whatever you are concerned about and connect you to helpful resources. The hotline is available if you just need to talk or want to call about a friend.

STUDENT INSURANCE

Whether enrolled in an NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan or maintaining alternative health insurance coverage, all matriculated students have access to comprehensive services at the Student Health Center (SHC). Many of the services at the SHC are provided at no cost or very reduced cost. Learn more.
