Stuart Lorimer

Born Glasgow Scotland, Lives and works in New York.

Stuart Lorimer is a Scottish-born, New York-based painter who received an MFA from Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia, PA) and his BFA from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (Dundee, Scotland.)

Lorimer has exhibited at venues such as at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, NY (2022) Lyles and King, NY (2019, 2018, 2015), CANADA, NY 2023, 2016, Embajada, San Juan PR, 2019 and Ceysson & Bénétière, Luxembourg, 2017.

As a curator, Stuart ran the Brooklyn gallery Bannerette from 2014-2017 and as an independent curator, he has organized exhibitions at Safe Gallery, Brooklyn (2019), Orgy Park, Brooklyn (2018), among other venues. His work has appeared in New American Paintings, Time Out New York, and The Times (UK).
